Stainless Steel & Maple Staircase
LOCATION: Manhattan, NY
DESIGN: Stainless steel and maple wood staircase with built-in shelving
Constructed out of maple wood this staircase is integrated into a bookshelf below it. Serett fabricated the structural frame and wrapped it completely in wood and plaster with built-in shelving. The handrail is constructed out of maple wood and stainless steel rod balusters and turnbuckles. With our eye for detail, we fabricated various decorative elements; stainless steel grills, radiator covers and base board trim.
With a specific vision in mind from the architect, our challenge was to deliver exactly what was envisioned while knowing the wood would expand and contract over time.
