A metal framework provides the structure for this glass walkway in a Brooklyn courtyard. The walkway allows for natural light from above into the brick and stone cellar.

Serett reproduced two different types of glass sidewalk styles out of out steel; flat plane and round plug. Traditionally these sidewalks were produced with a cast iron frame, which commonly cracked due to the weakness of the cast iron. We are often requested to replace or to fabricate new sidewalks. The challenges of these sidewalks, new or old, is preventing water seepage through the seams and at the perimeter of the frame.
